One more week before our big event, and things are looking like we will be able to pull a great show:-) Our new jewelry collection is ready and looks fantastic. The idea of mixing different materials and stones worked. Daniela did an amazing job designing and creating each piece in such record time. It gave us major satisfaction, to see everything lined up in the studio (our pre-show workshop), and ready to be fitted by each of the models.
We are thrilled to have Miss DC 2009, Jen Corey, and Miss DC 2008, Kate Marie Grinold, to present our jewelry. Although, Jen is getting ready for Miss America (which we fully believe with her beauty and talent she will rock), she found time to participate in our fall 09 photo shoot and looked fab. We cannot wait to see what she shows on the runway. Kate Marie's genuine connection to Polaris Project creates perfect synergy of fashion and selfless outreach to the ones in need.
After spending some time at the L2 Club in Georgetown and putting the final touches on the evening, we have to say, we could not have picked a better venue. No one who is helping us through sometimes more or less unrealistic expectations could be any more helpful and understanding. The place itself is just what we and our jewelry need. (we did not know what we needed before we found L2). So thank you Lucia and Oscar.
Having said that, we still need to tie some loose ends...see you next week!

Green and Blue Jewelry Fashion Show and Benefit

On December 16, 2009 Green and Blue Boutique, located on DC's Dupont Circle will present a jewelry fashion show at the Georgetown L2 Lounge. We will show our new ELA ELA Jewelry line, which is reflecting on couple of this season's trends, but is original and very different. We dared to combine materials which traditionally are not used together to create something new. I don't want to give out all the design details before the show, but all the pieces which will not be sold at the show, will be for sale in the store (1350 connecticut avenue).
Green and Blue partnered with the Polaris-World Without Slavery Project,
(www.polarisproject.com) of which we are proud supporters of. We invited the Project to be a part of the evening to present their program. Polaris fights against human trafficking and sex slavery and because of our connection to Eastern Europe, where lot of the women are lured from under false pretenses to work as models, we felt that fashion show would be perfect event to promote the project. Part of the proceeds from the show will go to Polaris. If you want to come to the show and support Polaris and maybe get some very cool last minute Christmas present contact us in the store 202 2236644.
